A gathering of recipes handed down through the generations of the McGloin and Kirk families, renowned for their culinary traditions, and culminating in this epicurean bible initially presented to daughter Cara when she departed home and hearth for the big smoke in 1994. I've put about one third on the website, mainly the later material which has more biographical interest. I did some work on a "Food and Music" section which has now metamorphasised as "Music and Food Part 1" and can be found under the Music section.

I was only saying yesterday in fact, it is a wonder the celebrated McGloin Kirk family has not come forward, owned up if you like, with a cok bok, and blow me down, I am thinking, here it is!!!            -  Charmain Soloman

A whinny, two neighs and three hoof stamps 

- Princess Anne's steed, the Right Royal Alphonzo del Quero Conquistador De Souza III,   which Horse Whisperers translate as " it is seldom a cokbok appears such as this which will undoubtedly appeal to equine epicures the world over".  In actual fact though, the horse was relating his favourite rhyme

                                                  When down at the boozer

                                                  Booking the slate

                                                  With drinks of his mates sir

                                                  The goose and the goat
